I was listening to the Misfits a couple nights ago and Death Comes Ripping came on. I put this illustration together, the song always reminded me of some kind of a winged death swooping down. For this illustration I collaborated with my wife, Christine Henzy. We started working on it last night. I sketched out the skeleton really lightly last night as well as the sign and then I turned it over to her. From there she added Vietato Fumare which means No Smoking in Italian. She also added the details to the skeleton and the cigarette and smoke. This morning I darkened the lines on the skelaton and added the marker before scanning it in, hope you guys like it!
Today is my 2 year wedding anniversary. Today’s illustration is dedicated to my beautiful wife Christine. Happy anniversary! I love you!
This weeks “IF” word was “Swept”. I’ve been very lucky recently in that the ideas for “IF” pop into my head almost immediately. I was thinking “swept out to the sea” or something like that. Anyway, here is the finished piece:
